Twitbin is a simple tool for you to interface with Twitter. This blog is here for you to keep track of everything we're doing around here. Hope you enjoy!

October update

October 16th, 2007

So some of you may have noticed the new stats bar at the bottom of the app, for those of you who haven’t seen it (it will show you your followers, and how many you are following), just clear your cache.

So for those of you who have noticed twitbin going down a lot lately, we’ve figured out the reason. It seems that we have a 70 request per hour limit per user to the API, and with the new stats function we seem to be crossing that threshold. We’ll be posting a fix to this tomorrow morning.

Thank you for your patience folks.

Back in action

May 17th, 2007

So we finally fixed the problems with the friend api we were running into. Things should be back up and running smoothly. Now we can get back to adding new features!

We apologize for the interruptions, we’re working to make sure we can get around these issues in the future.

Thanks,
Brian

Service Status

Update 2: So the friend api is still broken, been broken all day. We are hoping it clears up tonight. Our apologies for the PITA service today.

Update: We’ve fixed the server issue on our end, which was our fault - oops.

So we’re experiencing 2 problems over the last 2 days: 1 twitter’s friend api is messing up for us, and not always going through (other clients had the same issue), and second, we’ve been experiencing some weird server issues on our end, so we’re upgrading the machines hoping they fix themselves.
Hopefully all these issues will be resolved later today.

Thanks for your patience,
Brian

Service interruption

May 4th, 2007

Update Saturday Seems like this was some work on the api friends code over on twitter’s end. thanks for your patience.

Hey everyone, we noticed friends posts aren’t showing up as of 6:20PM ET on May 04. This isn’t exclusive to us, twitterific seems to be having the same problem.

We’ll keep you posted as soon as we can fix this. In the meantime public feeds are still working.
